Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi has invited applications for two posts of Senior Research fellow under two different projects. The maximum age limit is 35 years to apply for the post. The emoluments for the two posts are same as 14,000 + 30% HRA fixed per month.

One post of Senior Research Fellow is under the project DR. (Mrs.) Anju M. Singh Grain Quality Lab, Div. of Genetics, IARI, New Delhi-110012. The essential qualification for the post is First Class Master’s Degree in Plant Breeding or Genetics or Biotechnology or Life Sciences with specialization in Plant Breeding or Biotechnology as a subject. Preference will be given to candidates having research experience of field and molecular techniques.

Another post of Senior Research Fellow will be under the project sponsored by DBT. The title of the project is “Biofortification of wheat for micronutrients through conventional molecular breeding approaches”. The essential qualification for the post is at least 55% marks in Master’s Degree in Food Technology/ Biochemistry/ Soil Science/ Ag. Chemistry. Candidates having research experience of techniques in estimation of micronutrients, protein fractionation, sugars etc.

These positions are temporary and will be based on contract for an initial period of one year at a time or till termination of the project or plan. The venue for both the interview is in V.S.M Committee Room, Cereal Laboratory (Opposite Post Office), IARI, New Delhi-12. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The vacancy is co-terminus with the respective plan so the selected candidate can not claim for regular appointment at this institute.
