Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (TIET) is located in Patiala in the State of Punjab. Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (TIET) is situated in the huge 250 acre campus of the Thapar Technology Campus (TTC).

Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology (TIET) was established in the year 1956. It has performed consistently well in providing quality education in the fields of undergraduate and postgraduate education in Engineering and Technology since its inception. The University Grants Commission of India granted full autonomy to the Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology in the year 1985 as a recognition of its achievements. Moreover the institute was granted the status of a deemed university.

The various programmes offered by the Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology lead to the completion of Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree and postgraduate programmes leading to Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.), Master of Science (M.Sc.), Master of Technology (MTech.), Master of Engineering (M.E.), Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees.

The admissions to the BTech course are done through the AIEEE. So, if you are aiming to get a seat in the BTech programme of Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology then apply for the AIEEE 2010.
