The Teerthanker Mahaveer University is a premier University which was started under the UP Act No. 30 of 2008. UGC recognizes all the courses of TMU. The university calls for admissions into its various courses for the year 2010-2011.

There are various disciplines where TMU offers courses. It offers MBBS 5 ½ year courses and M.Sc 3 year medical courses on Anatomy, Physiology, Biochemistry and Microbiology. It also offers Bachelor courses on Dental surgery, BDS for 5 years and Diploma in Dental Mechanic for 2 years and Diploma in Dental Hygienist for 2 years.

It also offers para-medical courses M.Pharm, a 2 year course in Pharmaceutics, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacognosy, Pharmacology and B.Pharm, a 4 year course. Of the nursing courses, it offers 2 year Medical and surgical nursing, Child health nursing, Nursing Psychology, Maternity nursing and Community Health and Mental Health nursing. It also provides Post B.Sc Nursing, a 2 year course and B.Sc nursing (regular), a 4 year course. GNM or Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery courses are also offered, a 3 ½ years course.

The faculty of Engineering offers MTech, 2 year courses on IT, Computer Science and Information and Communication Technology. BTech, 4 year courses on Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electrical and Electronics, EC, IT and Computer sciences are offered. Integrated courses on BTech and MBA (Dual Degree), 5 year courses, are also offered. BCA and MCA, 3 year courses are also provided.

The School of Management offers 2 year MBA courses in General, Marketing, Retail, International Business, Finance, HR, etc are offered. Besides, it also offers PGDBM PG Diploma in business management (1 year), MHA Master of Hospital Administration (2 years), BBA (3 years), B.Com Hons. (3 years), BEd and M.Ed for 1 year each, PGDHM PG or Diploma in Hotel Management (1 year), PGDTM PG or Diploma in Tourism Management (1 year), B.Sc in Hotel Management (3 years) and BHM or Bachelor in Hotel Management (4 years.)

For Bachelor degree 10+2 with 50% aggregate and for Master’s Degree, graduation are essential.
