Applications are invited for filling up the post of Seaman in The Shipping Corporation of India Ltd, a Govt of India enterprise. The candidates must have undertaken DGS grant Pre-sea / requiring ship board training.

The PB is Rs.5000/- per month.

Eligibility:

1. Should possess valid Indian CDC, PAN CARD. Passport & INDOS NO.

2. Must be 10^th /10 +2 passed under a reputed Board or University.

3. GP Rating or Saloon Rating course must be completed with 4 essential modular courses for seaman under D.G Shipping permitted institutes. Should possess the following certificates: (a) Fire Prevention & Fighting (b) Elementary First Aid (c) Personal Survival Techniques (d) Personal Safety & Social Responsibilities.

4. Should possess Tanker Familiarization Course or Dangerous Cargo (OIL) endorsements certificate.

5. Medical fitness is must.

6. According to Govt rules OBC/ST/SC are reserved.

7. Original documents which are required should be produced former joining ship.

8. Selected candidates for LPG or LNG or Chemical tankers must complete certain courses and attain DCE former joining ship.

The age limit is 30 years. Relaxable upto 5 years (SC/ST), 3 tears (OBC).
