UCO Bank PO Exam 2009



UCO Bank is conducting entrance exam for all those candidates who are interested in getting for the post of Probationary Officer in the Bank. The bank has been regarded as one of the reputed banks in the country and the candidates interested for the exam must submit their application forms as soon as possible. All the candidates can apply for the same by visiting the official website of the Bank.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • The nationality of the candidate must be an Indian.
  • The minimum allowable age as on 1st Dec, 2008 is 21 years.
  • The maximum allowable age on the same date is 30 years.
  • The candidate must have obtained a Bachelor?s degree from a recognized University.

Important Dates:

  • Start of registration for online Application forms : 20th Dec, 2008
  • Last date to register online : 19th Jan, 2009
  • Last date for the receipt of Printout of online Application : 24th Jan, 2009
  • Last date for the receipt of Printout of online Application (from far flung areas) : 31st Jan, 2009
  • Date of commencement of UCO Bank PO Written examination : 22nd Mar, 2009

Distribution of Vacancies:

  • TOTAL : 543
  • GENERAL CATEGORY : 278
  • OTHER BACKWARD CLASSES : 139
  • SCHEDULE CLASS : 83
  • SCHEDULE TRIBE : 43
  • PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED : 22

Selection Procedure:

  • All the eligible candidates have to appear in the objective and descriptive type written examination.
  • The candidates will be short-listed on the basis of the merit obtained by them in the written examination.
  • Final selection will be made on the basis of the collective performance of the candidate in the written exam and interview.

Examination Pattern:

  • All the questions in the examination will be of Multiple Choice Type (MCQ)
  • The question paper will be set in bilingual form viz. both Hindi and English
  • The questions in the examination will cover:
  1. General Awareness,
  2. Quantitative Aptitude,
  3. Reasoning Ability
  4. English Language
  5. Descriptive Test

Application Fee and Mode of Payment:

  • The application fee including postage charges is Rs.300 only
  • The candidates belonging to reserved category viz. SC/ ST/ PC need to pay only Rs.50/- as the application fee
  • The candidates belonging to OBC category need to pay full fee viz. Rs.300
  • The mode of payment id through Demand Draft which must be drawn in the favour of ? UCO Bank PO Recruitment Project 2008? payable at Mumbai
  • All the candidates must write their name, date of birth and address on the back side of the Bank Draft/ Bank Pay Order
