UPCAT-DENTAL 2010 BDS



Applications are invited by the Association of Private Medical and Dental Colleges from all the candidates interested to take admission in various medical and dental courses. UPCAT is a competitive exam conducted to select candidates for various medical and dental institutes. The test is conducted by UP Medical Group under the proper approval from the Government of India for providing admission to the eligible candidates in medical courses, from all over India. The entrance board is regarded as one of the reputed one among various other entrance exam bodies for selection of medical students. Students get short listed solely on the performance in the entrance test.

VARIOUS COURSES AVAILABLE

Ø Bachelor of Dental surgery (BDS)

REQUIRED ELIGIBILITY

Ø The maximum age of the candidate should not exceed 17 years

Ø The candidate should be 10+2 passed from any recognized board

Ø The candidate must have secured minimum 50% marks as aggregate in their HS Final Year exam

IMPORTANT DATES

Ø Last date of receiving completed application form-31/01/2010

Ø Date of commencement of exam (in Delhi and Lucknow centre)-07/02/2010

Ø Result declaration date-15/02/2010

SYLLABUS AND EXAM PATTERN

Ø Duration of the exam-3 hours

Ø Total number of question asked-200

Ø 50 questions are asked from Physics, Chemistry, Zoology and Botany section

Ø Each correct answer will fetch 1 mark and no negative markings are there

Ø The syllabus of the exam is same as of the 12th standard
