UPCMET 2010
The Uttar Pradesh Combined Medical Entrance Test (UPCMET) is conducted by the Uttar Pradesh Unaided Medical colleges Welfare Association (UPUMCWA). There are 9 unaided participating medical colleges like the Muzaffar Nagar Medical College, Rohila khand Medical College, Shri Ram Murti Smarak Institute of Medical Sciences, Subharati Medical College, etc and admissions to these colleges are made through UPCMET. The entrance examination is conducted in 11 major cities and also in 7 state capitals.
The eligibility criteria are 12th pass and a minimum of 50% marks in PCB (40% for the reserved category). The candidate should have attained 17 years of age before 31st December 2010. Students from all over India can apply for the examination.
The application forms are made available in the month of February in selected branches of Oriental bank of Commerce all over India. The application can also be obtained from UPUMCWA by submitting a demand draft and requisition letter. Details regarding this can be obtained from the websitewww.upumcwa.org
The issue of applications start at the end of February and the last date of submission of application form will be at the end of April. The examination will be conducted towards the end of May.
