UPCPMT 2010



The UPCPMT (Uttar Pradesh Combined Pre Medical Test) is conducted for entry into various government sponsored and non-government sponsored colleges. It is conducted for medical and dental courses. Alternative courses like Homeopathy and Ayurvedha were also offered based on this test. The University of Lucknow conducts this examination annually for the benefit of the medical and dental aspirants. The examination is conducted in various centers across India.

Besides MBBS and BDS, BAMS, BHMS and BUMS were offered.

This exam is intended exclusively for the residents of Uttar Pradesh. The eligibility criterion for the entrance exam is a pass in 12th exam with 50% marks in the PCM. For the reserved category, 40% marks in the PCM is considered as eligibility.

The reservation policy of the State Government is for OBC (27%), SC (21 %), ST (2%) and horizontal reservation to Women candidates (20%), Physically Handicapped (3%), Dependants of Freedom Fighters (2%), son/daughter of Ex-serviceman (Handicapped in War, Retired or Martyrs) (2%), NCC Cadet (’C Certificate with ‘B’ Grading) (1%).

The application sale for the examination will commence in the month of February. In the first week of March all applications must be submitted. Examination will commence in the middle of May.

The exam pattern will be multiple choice questions and there are 2 sessions. In the morning session exam will be conducted on Botany and Zoology and in the afternoon session physics and chemistry will be conducted.
