UPMT 2010 Medical



The Uttaranchal Council of Entrance Examination or the UCEE is conducting the Uttarakhand Common Pre Medical Entrance Examination or UPMT for admission into various private undaided Medical, Dental, Ayurvedic and Homeopathic colleges of Uttarakhand. Students are invited from all over India to apply for the courses. There are 7 colleges in Uttarakhand in which admission is done through CPMEE. Two of these institutes provide the MBBS course, 3 colleges provide the BDS course, 2 colleges offer the BAMS (Ayurvedic) and one institute offers the BHMS (Homeopathy) course.

The entrance exam is conducted in Bhopal, Chandigarh, Delhi, Dehradun, Jaipur, Lucknow, Ludhiana and Varanasi.

For eligibility the applying candidates are required to pass the 12th standard with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. For the MBBS and BDS courses a minimum of 50% aggregate (40% for the SC/ST) is considered essential. The student must have attained 17 years of age before 31st December, 2010.

The colleges that offer the courses are Seema Dental College & Hospital – BDS, Sri Narayan Swami Hospital & Dental College –MBBS & BDS, Himalayayi Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital – BAMS, Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences – MBBS, Uttaranchal Dental & Medical Research Institute – BDS, Uttaranchal Ayurvedic College – BAMS, Chandola Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital – BHMS.

The forms for the CPMEE are made available in all the member institutes and other selected colleges. Application form can also be obtained by post from Seema Dental College, Rishikesh by sending a demand draft along with requisition letter.

Application forms will be issued from the 4th of March, 2010 and the last date for receipt of application would be 5th, May, 2010. Date of examination would be 22nd May, 2010.
