The Uttar Pradesh Post Graduate Medical Entrance Examination or the UPPGMEE is conducted for admission into various post graduate degree and diploma courses like MD, MS and MDS. The examination is conducted for admission into various courses in colleges located in Agra, Allahabad, Gorakhpur, Jhansi, Kanpur, Meerut and in medical/dental faculty of CSM Medical University, Lucknow. A large number of colleges are associated with UPPGMEE and therefore admission into the courses may be easier though the exam won’t be that easy.

The courses offered are Doctor of Medicine (MD), Master of Science (MS), Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) and Post Graduate Diploma in various disciplines.

For eligibility, MBBS or BDS from any university in Uttar Pradesh is considered eligible. A resident of UP with MBBS from Himalayan Institute of Medical Sciences, Dehradun is also considered eligible. Candidates pursuing final year diploma are also eligible for post graduate degree courses in the same discipline. Completion of internship is considered essential.

The application was issued from January 8^th, 2010 and the exam was conducted on 28^th of February, 2010. Result of examination was declared on March 15^th, 2010. The date of first counseling is planned on April 11^th, 2010 in the CSM Medical University, Lucknow and the last date for joining the allotted course is on 20^th April, 2010. Second counseling will be on May 26^th, 2010 and the last date of joining would be 31^st May, 2010.
