UPSC CMSE 2010



Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) organizes Combined Medical Science Examination (CMSE) for recruitment to the following government posts and jobs:

Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in the Railways.

Medical Officers in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi.

General Duty Medical Officer in New Delhi Municipal Council

Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in Indian Ordnance Factories Health Service.

Junior Scale Posts in Central Health Services.

These jobs are highly dignified jobs. Thus, the candidates appear for CMSE in bulk but vacancies are too short which results in tough selection.

Selection Process:

Selection is made by fulfilling these two steps

· Written Test

· Personality Test

Written test consists of 500 marks and after qualifying written test, a candidate has to appear for personality test which carries 100 marks.

Eligibility Criteria for CMSE:

The candidates:

· Should have MBBS degree from recognized institute or at present is in final year.

· Should be below 32 years on 1st January 2010.

· Should be perfect – medically and physically.

Significant dates for CMSE:

· Notice release: 1st week of September,2009

· Last date of submission of application form : 1st week of October, 2009

· Date of CMSE: 3rd week of January, 2010.

Note: This year candidates have to wait for new notice release as the time to apply has been passed away.
