UPSC NDA 2010



Union Public Service Commission National Defense Academy conducts entrance exam for getting the best defense personnel. All interested candidate has an opportunity to try their luck for two times if failed at first attempt as admission is conducted for two times in a year. This examination is conducted to get service in Army, Navy and Air Force department.

Eligibility Criteria:

· The candidate should have cleared XII class. Those who are studying in XII class can also fill the form for NDA. But for those who are interested in Navy and Air Force must have Physics and Mathematics in their 12th class.

· The age of candidate must be between 16 ½ and 19 years on 1st January 2011.

· Finally, the candidate must be physically and medically fit for all NDA jobs as per requirement.

Admission Process:

The admission process includes written test, multiple round interviews, group tasks and a medical test. About 350 seats are vacant for various NDA posts and for these jobs many candidates applied from all over the country, therefore the competition is tough.

Significant dates:

• Notification released: 3rd week of October, 2009.
• Last date of submission of application form: 3rd week of November, 2009.
• Date of Examination: 3rd week of April, 2010.

Availability of availability form:

All UPSE exams have common application form in which a candidate has to select the desired course. The candidate can get these forms from designated post offices all over the country.

Examination Pattern:

Written Examination includes two papers. One is of General Ability Test of 600 marks and Mathematics of 300 marks. The maximum time for both these pares are 150 minutes.
