Applications are invited for appointment of coaches purely on contract basis by the Sports Authority of India (SAI) for an initial period of 1 year.

The appointment will be for two zones, one for the SAI, North Eastern Centers and others for the rest of the India.

The number of vacancies in each discipline for North Eastern Region (NE) and rest of the country (R) are as follows:

7 for R for Archery. 2 for R for Rowing. 1 for NE & 4 for R for Athletics.

1 for R for Shooting. 3 for R for Basketball. 5 for R for Kayaking & Canoeing.

3 for NE & 7 for R for Boxing. 4 for R for Hockey. 1 for NE & 3 for R for Weightlifting. 2 for R for Cycling. 2 for NE & 9 for R for Taekwondo. 1each for NE & R for Fencing. 1 each for NE & R for Table Tennis. 4 for NE 1 for R for Football. 1 for NE for Sepak-Takraw. 1 for R for Handball. 1 for R for Netball. 3 for NE & 6 for R for Judo. 2 for NE & 5 for R for Wrestling. 1 each for NE & R for Karate. 1 for NE & 4 for R for Wushu. 2 for R for Volleyball. 1 for NE & 3 for R for Badminton. 1 for NE & 4 for R for Swimming.

The age limit is maximum 30 years. The salary offered is 15600/- per month.

The qualification required is Diploma in Coaching from SAI NS-NIS Patiala or from any other University or participation in the discipline concerned in Olympics/Asian Games/World Championship with a Certificate Course in Coaching.
