The Northern Eastern Council Secretariat under the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region is inviting applications to fill up the following posts on deputation basis:

1.) Research Officer (Planning): The number of post is 1. The scale of pay is Rs.8000-275-13500/- (Pre revised) PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs.5400 (Revised).

Candidates must possess an experience of 3 years in collection, compilation, analysis and interpretation or statistical data.

2.) Assistant Research Officer: The number of post is 1. The scale of pay is Rs.6500-200-10500/- (Pre-revised) PB-2 Rs.9300-34800 + Grade Pay of Rs.4600 (Revised).

Candidates must possess an experience of 2 years in collection, compilation, analysis and interpretation or statistical data.

For both the above posts candidates must be officers under the Central/State Government or Union Territories holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre/Department.

They must possess Master’s Degree in Statistics or Operations Research or Mathematics or Economics (with Statistics) or Commerce (with Statistics) from a recognized University or equivalent.

The maximum age limit for the posts should not exceed 56 years.
