VIT 2010 MCA M.Tech



The VIT or the Vellore Institute of Technology provides the top class facilities, highly qualified faculty, state-of-art infrastructure and excellent placement opportunities for the motivated candidates. The entrance exam conducted by the VIT is called VITMEE and it is conducted in a number of cities across the country.

The applying candidate should have passed the qualifying examination with a minimum of  60% aggregate for the MCA and 50% aggregate for the M.Tech. A good academic record of the 10th and 12th standard is considered essential. Final years giving exams in April or May, 2010 can also apply. For the MCA, BCA/BSc(Computer Science)/Bachelor’s degree with Mathematics/Statistics/Business Mathematics as well as Mathematics in Class 12th is essential. For the M.Tech course candidates should have a valid B.E or B.Tech or M.Sc in the concerned field. Full details of eligibility are available in the official website.

Applications for the VITMEE will be available in selected post offices, University Campus and other VIT office of Chennai. Applications can also be obtained through post by sending a requisition along with a demand draft.

Forms were made available from the 2nd week of April, 2010 and the last date for receipt of application would be in the 3rd week of May, 2010. Date of VITMEE will fall in the 1st week of June, 2010 and results will be declared in the 2nd week of June, 2010.

The candidates who pass through VITMEE should pass through personal interview for final selection. Candidates who have passed GATE will be given preference. Candidates with more than 90% in GATE are eligible to apply without written examination or personal interview.
