VITEEE 2010 BTech



VITEEE stands for Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Examination. This exam is conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology University. One can appear in the entrance examination in various test centres distributed all over the country of India. The Vellore Institute of Technology is considered as one of the topmost institute in India. In the South India region it is included among the top three institutes.

The VITEE acts as a single window test to select students for a plethora of engineering courses in the Vellore Institute of Technology. The courses include

  • BTech programme in Bioinformatics
  • BTech programme in Biotechnology
  • BTech programme in Bio-Medical Engineering
  • BTech programme in Civil Engineering
  • BTech programme in Chemical Engineering
  • BTech programme in Electronics and Communication Engineering
  • BTech programme in Computer Science and Engineering
  • BTech programme in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering
  • BTech programme in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
  • BTech programme in Energy Engineering
  • BTech programme in Information Technology
  • BTech programme in Mechanical Engineering

To become eligible to appear in the VITEEE one needs to pass his or her 10+2 final exams with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology with at least 60% marks in aggregate. Final year appearing students are allowed to take part in the entrance examination in a provisional manner.

The entrance exam paper contains four parts—namely Mathematics, Biology, Physics and Chemistry. The mandatory parts for a student depend upon his choice of the stream or course.
