WB JEE 2010



WB JEE stands for West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination. This entrance test is conducted every year to enrol fresh students to the various undergraduate courses conducted by various educational institutes based in the state of West Bengal. The courses include undergraduate courses in medical, engineering, technology and dental and pharmacy. In addition to these students are enrolled to the B. Arch course conducted by the Shibpur University, Jadavpur University and Bengal Engineering and Science University.

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board conducts the entrance test every year. For the overall process of the entrance test you can contact the Examinations Board via www.banglarmukh.com or www.wbjeeb.in or www.csc-et.in

There are three types of form which need to be used by the applicants. The forms are tagged as E or M or C. If you apply for the option Engineering and Technology/B. Arch/Agricultural Engineering/Dairy Technology/Pharmacy then you need to use the E form. But if you like to apply for the category Dental/Medical/Pharmacy then you need to use the M tagged form. Then if an applicant is desirous of the category Engineering and Technology/B. Arch/Agricultural Engineering/Dairy Technology/Pharmacy/Medical/Dental then he or she needs to use the C kind of form.

The applicants for the WB JEE must be valid Indian citizens with a 10+2 certificate or its equivalent examinations. The general category students are required to pass the 10+2 examination with at least 50% marks in Chemistry, Physics and Biology or Mathematics in a group. Moreover the applicants are required to get 30% marks and pass marks in all the individual subjects. The 50% threshold level is lowered to 40% for the reserved category students.
