For its Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) program, the Xavier Institute of Management (XIMB), Bhubaneshwar conducts an admission process. XIMB was established through a Social Contract between the Orissa Government and the OJS (Orissa Jesuit Society) in the year 1987. XIMB is one the apex business schools in the country.

Candidates are selected based on their XAT conducted by the XLRI, Jamshedpur. The admission to the PGDM program is only through XAT. The students have to appear for a Group Discussion and subsequently a Personal Interview to be selected.

To be eligible for selection, the candidate should possess a 3 year Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized institute. Final year graduates can also apply.

After clearing the XAT, the candidates have to apply separately for the XIMB. This application can be done only through online in the website www.ximb.ac.in. The candidate has to pay the fees through State Bank of India in the XIMB account or through a demand draft in favor of the XIMB.

The candidates can apply till the 1st week of December, 2010. The last date for the receipt of payment or submission of Bank remittance slip would be around the middle of December, 2010. The finalized dates can be viewed in the official website for XIMB. The candidates shorlisted by XAT are then called in for a Group Discussion and then for a Personal Interview. GD and PI will be held in multiple centers at Bengaluru, Chennai, Bhubaneswar, Delhi, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Mumbai.
